Privacy Policy

Serene Talks ("we", "our", "us") operates serenetalks.com. This policy describes, in plain language, what information the website collects, what it does not collect, and the third-party services involved. We have written it to match how the site actually works rather than to sound reassuring.

Serene Talks does not require you to create an account to use the conversation experience or the free story chapters.

When you send a message in the conversation experience, the text of that message is transmitted to an AI model provider so that a reply can be generated. This is technically necessary — without it, no response could be produced. The provider processes the request under its own terms and privacy practices.

We do not attach your name, email address, or an advertising identifier to conversations, we do not use conversation content to build advertising profiles or audiences, and conversation text is never sent to Google Analytics or to any advertising system. We do not publish or share your conversation content.

Because your messages travel over the internet to a model provider, we ask you not to share highly sensitive details such as full names, addresses, identification or financial numbers, or medical records. See our Responsible AI page for more on this.

Several features remember your choices using your browser's local storage on your own device: unlocked story chapters, story progress, audio and subtitle preferences, and similar settings. This information stays in your browser and is not a copy we hold on a server.

You can remove all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for serenetalks.com. Doing so will also clear locally recorded chapter unlocks.

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-C58D2F2SXM) to understand general usage — which pages are visited, which experiences are opened, and how people move through the site. Google Analytics sets cookies or uses similar technologies and processes technical information such as approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring source, and pages viewed.

We keep analytics events deliberately generic — for example page views, a story being opened, or an article being read. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, message content, relationship details, health information, or any other personally identifying or sensitive text to analytics.

This site participates in Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure advertising based on your visits to this and other websites, where applicable in your region. We do not control Google's personalised advertising decisions, and we do not create advertising audiences based on emotional, relationship, health, or other sensitive characteristics.

You can review and change your Google ad settings at myadcenter.google.com, and opt out of personalised advertising from participating vendors at optout.aboutads.info. Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies.

Premium story chapters are a one-time ₹49 unlock paid by UPI. You copy our UPI ID and complete the transfer inside your own UPI or banking app. Serene Talks never asks for and never receives your card number, UPI PIN, banking password, or one-time passcode, and we do not operate a card form on this website.

If you email us about a payment, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your email address, the chapter number, and a UPI reference number — and we use it only to verify the payment and restore or refund access. Please see our Refund Policy.

If you submit written feedback or a review through a form on the site, the text you enter and any name you choose to provide are stored in our hosted database so we can review it and, if approved, display it publicly. Please do not include personal details you would not want shown. Ask us and we will delete your submission.

To run the site we use hosting and content delivery infrastructure, an AI model provider for conversation replies, a voice provider for narration audio in some story experiences, a hosted database for feedback submissions, Google Analytics for usage measurement, and Google AdSense for advertising. Each of these providers processes information under its own privacy terms, and our hosting and providers keep standard technical server logs such as IP address and request time for security and reliability.

Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Feedback submissions are kept until you ask us to remove them or we no longer need them. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any related payment or refund record. Information stored in your browser stays until you clear it.

Serene Talks is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will remove it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information relating to you, or to object to certain processing. You can also clear browser storage yourself, block cookies, and adjust Google's advertising settings as described above.

To make a request, email hello@serenetalks.in and tell us what you would like. Because most usage is anonymous, we may not be able to identify data as yours unless you provide the details needed to locate it.

We update this policy when the website changes. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be reflected here rather than announced separately.
